Nagpur: The State Level School Association is planning Morcha during the upcoming winter session of the state legislature in Nagpur, to reduce their requests to release delayed RTE payments.
RTE Foundation, an association representing various schools, claiming that around claims with a total of RS1,700 Crore are waiting.
According to Sachin Kalbande, the President of the Founder of the Association, the government has made a partial or not paid payment at all schools.
“We have provided free receipts under the RTE quota to students for a long time.
In accordance with the RTE Law, the state government must pay the cost of the student’s behalf.
But in Maharashtra against the request of RS1,800 crore, only RS100 Crore has been approved, “Kalbande said.

He accused the state government not to provide full benefits of RTE funds.
“The central government contributes 65% to this corpus.

Through the rights query of information (RTI), Kalbande claimed to have found that the RS500 Crore was only accepted for uniforms and books, “which only RS100 Crore has been distributed”.
He added that based on the same RTI document, “has become clear that no students receive benefits according to the list prepared by the Central Government”.
The association will prioritize the key set of demands in Morcha.
“We want borik gr where the RTE cost replacement rate is cut into half.
That number must be raised to more than RS31,000.
Also, all payments that are delayed must be released immediately,” Kalbande said.
He also demanded that schools facing financial difficulties were given government assistance.
“Many parents have not paid budget fees and schools have undergone the burden.
The state government must clear the financial deficit,” Kalbande said.
