Gurgaon: Nazma schools will be reopened on Friday after about four months, but senior Girls high school students, Pinangwan, do not know how to get there.
Special bus services for female students in rural areas named Balika Sikhsha Vahini were withdrawn when locking was announced in April.
Now, nearly 100 girls from villages in Noah’s Nagina Block share Nazma’s worries.
“I don’t want to miss my first class.
I want to see my friends and teachers.
But there are almost no public transportation facilities in my village,” said Nazma (16).
When traveling from Gurgaon to Alwar through Noah, people can see some villagers who try to stop the vehicle looking for lifts.
Some even bring some currency notes to be given to the driver.
Some public buses and share autorickshaws ply in this area during the day.
But most of them just take the main road.
“We will not send our children to school except the bus service resume.
Autorickshaw together is hard to come by and they are expensive.
More importantly, they are not safe,” said Mohammed Ashraf from Maroda Village.
The Ministry of Education has decided to reopen the school for grade 9 to 12.
But teachers and officials from GIRLS GIRLS GIRLS, Pinangwan, one of the largest in the area, also seems to agree that in the absence of reliable bus services.
, It is difficult for students to attend classes.
“We are aware of the challenge.
Balika Service Siksha Vahini has continued in January after we submit a request with administration.
But it was stopped again in April.
We hope the bus will soon be again and our students will be able to attend classes,” said the principal , Bus services were launched about four years ago but since last year, had to be drawn several times because of locking.
Officials at the Highway Department said for services to continue, schools in the area must increase requests and submit relevant details.
“Based on it, we will prepare a route plan depending on the number of students.
The bus service was suspended in April because the school was closed,” said Pradeep Kumar, General Manager, Haryana Roadways, Noah Depot.
