The school threatens SSC boycott, HSC exams for delayed contributions

Nagpur: One of the biggest associations of school trust has threatened to boycott SSC and HSC check if the grant is not a salary not released by the government according to Bombay High Court’s (HC) order.
Maharashtra Rajya Shikshan Sanstha Mahamandal (MRSSM) has written to the chairman of the Minister of Uddhav Thackeray, reaffirming non-salary grants (NSG) and the problems faced by the school because of backlogs.
Since the assisted school is not permitted to impose a fee because their staff salaries are paid from the state treasury, separate NSG allocations are given so that expenditures such as electricity, water and maintenance of buildings are fulfilled.
The executive member of Mrssm Ravindra Fadnivis said the court order came in 2017 and the school government paid until 2019, after that “not a cent” had come.
“NSG is given based on the established formula.
About 5% of the total salary given to the school.
But this percentage is calculated at the fifth payment commission rate, while the seventh Pay Commission is valid now.
HC has directed the government to calculate NSG in existing Payscale, but the state Not to do it, “said Fadnivis.
In the same letter, MRSSM has also placed several other demands that apply to the school category that is not paid.
“RTE replacement for many private schools has been delayed and the Ministry of Education is most disrupted.
The school does not ask for something extra, their request is for what is legal because,” Fadnivis added.
Boycott SSC and HSC exams means the State Council will face very large logistics challenges.
Fadniv said, “Our school and junior college are used as a test center.
We will not give them custody of our building.” He added, “This large board exam operation works because of the personnel we provide.
Thousands of teachers are involved as withdrawals and evaluators .
We will not share these tasks to our staff, so it is not possible examination process can move forward.
“this is not the first time an association threatened boycott of the board exam, and ultimately the way the works.
However, this time, the association seems to be in an aggressive atmosphere.
Fadniv said, “If they don’t even listen to HC’s orders, then what he can say.
We must ensure justice for our members.”
