Kolkata: After the announcement of the opening of the school from class 9 to 12 from Tuesday, the state government plans to open schools in the phase.
Minister of State Education Bratya Basu said that the government wants to normalize school functions depending on the Covid situation in the state.
Speaking of a program, Basu said, “It is important to make the students return to the mainstream of education and considering the Chairman of the Minister of Mamata Banerjee has announced opening educational institutions from November 16.

He stressed that all preventive measures in connection with Covid had been taken to reopen schools, colleges and universities.
Basu explained that it was the wisdom of each guardian whether they would send their ward to school for physical classes and there was no coercion that everyone had to follow.
The next phase of the school opening depends on the successful implementation of the opening class 9 to 12 of November 16.
The State Education Department has issued strict guidelines to schools so that all Covid protocols are followed.
According to the state government guidelines, grade 9 and 11 students will report at 9:30 a.m.
And the class will be held from 10am to 3.30 in the morning.
Similarly, classes for 10 and 12 will be held from 11am to 4.30 a night.
In both scheduled time, students must report to school half an hour earlier.
Schools divide classes in two or more separate rooms depending on the available resources so that the Covid protocol can be maintained.
There are no other guards or visitors who are permitted on campus and share tiffin and drinking water are strictly not permitted.
Wearing masks is mandatory for all students, teachers, and non-teaching staff.
Private schools in the city have also made separate plans to continue educational activities from Tuesday.
