Gurgaon: Part of the private school budget in this country has demanded that the liberation category based on new cost rules raised from Rs 15,000 to RS 35,000.
In October last year, the government Haryana has changed the rules of education and connects the climbing of private school fees with the National Consumer Price Index (CPI).
This step is intended to place a hat on a “arbitrary” cost increase by several private schools, in the middle of an appeal from parents for intervention.
According to Haryana education rules which are changed, 2003, the maximum increase in schools can be charged 5% of the CPI.
For example, if the CPI for a period is 4%, the increase cannot exceed 9% of the previous year’s costs (4% + 5%).
However, the government has made an exception for a private school budget.
Those who charge Rs 12,000 or more per year for up to class V and schools whose maximum costs for class VI to XII are Rs 15,000 or less have been released from the lid.
The schools demand that the lid be raised with the RS 35,000 expenditure issued by institutions in city centers such as Gurgaon or Faridabad are not the same as them in several other districts.
Reaching under the banner of the National Independent School Alliance (NISA), they showed that the decision of the Haryana government was based on a similar step in neighboring Uttar Pradesh.
“In, per capita income around Rs 45,000-Rs 50,000.
There, schools that charge less than RS 20,000 have been released from the new cost rules.
In Haryana, per capita more than RS 2 Lakh, but the release is for schools that charge Less than Rs 15,000, “said Kulbhushan Sharma, President Nisa.
Schools also show that the above cost rules have been revised in 2018, but inflation has surged since then.
Yashpal Yadav, President Haryana Siksha Sanshan Tirihan, said, “New rules also do not see the fact that cities such as Gurgaon and Faridabad have higher expenses.
For such cities, this exception has no meaning and impractically.
The government is ideally It will be a stakeholder committee and intentional about these problems before passing commands that lead to protests.
