Hyderabad: Educational institutions opened back in Telangana on Wednesday but the presence of students was thin on the first day.
Prohibiting housing schools, social welfare and tribal welfare with hostel facilities, all schools reopen but very few students attending classes as the majority of parents are still worried about sending their environment.
The festive atmosphere was seen in several schools when students attended the class for the first time for the current academic year.
School staff are seen checking student body temperature and give them hand cleaners at the school entrance.

The students, wearing facial masks, sitting in the classroom by maintaining social distance.
Because only 15-20 percent of students turned out to be the first day, school management did not face difficulties to ensure social distance.
Students expressed happiness back to school after a long time and said the offline class would help in the learning process.

Most schools announce doing physical classes until late afternoon.
They say the time will be extended then depending on the student’s response.
However, some private schools are not open on Wednesday because they remain hesitant whether to do offline or online classes.
The Telangana High Court on Tuesday handed it to school management for only offline or only online or online and offline classes.
The court also explained that students should not be forced to attend offline classes and that they should not be punished for not attending school.
The court also directed the government not to punish schools who did not want to do offline classes.
In accordance with the high court order, the government directs the director of school education to put the standard operating procedure (SOP) to be attended by all school management that conducts offline classes within one week and gives them extensive publicity in print and electronic media.
The court continues to reopen housing schools, social welfare, and tribal welfare with dormitory facilities.
It directs the Ministry of Education to submit a report in four weeks on standard operating procedures (SOP) to be followed in these schools.
The government has also recorded several school management making parents sign a declaration that management will not be responsible if children are infected while in school.
“Every effort obtained from parents by any school management is fiddling at school management for any obligation if the child is infected with a virus, while in school, it will not have a legal effect,” said government communication issued after the court order.
Meanwhile, Telangana Governor Dr.
Tamilisai Soundararajan visited Raj Bhavan School to see the arrangements made to reopen.
He said school authorities cleaned the place and students came with pleasure to school.
“Students must be explained about preventive measures that must be taken.
There is a need to take all preventive measures until children are vaccinated,” he said.

Sabitha Indra Reddy visited a government school in the Vijayanagar colony and reviewed the situation there.
He told reporters that 40 percent of students went to school on the first day.
He claims that parents are willing to send their wards to school.
The minister said the department concerned took all steps to ensure the sanitation of the place of school.
He said the authorities took all precautions.
The minister said of 60 lakh school students in the state, 20 lakh studied in government schools.
He said there were 2.5 lakh new reception in government schools throughout the country of academic years.
The government allows the reopening of all educational institutions throughout the state of September 1.
After a gap of nearly 11 months, the educational institution in the country has been reopened in February this year but due to a surge in Covid-19 cases during the second wave, they were closed from March 24.
However, online classes continue for students.
For the second year in a row, there were no tests that could be done for grade 1 to 10 due to covid pandemics.
All students are promoted to the next class.
