Pune: the district has recorded an increase in vaccination beneficiaries that require the second dose, with more than 2 lakh inoculation like that in the past week.
According to Cowin data, Pune District has recorded vaccination 33 LAKH beneficiaries with both doses.
The health department official said the main focus had completed the second dose of gratis.
Sanjay Deshmukh, Assistant Director (Medical), Pune Circle, said, “We plan to complete the second dose vaccination of at least 40 Lakh beneficiaries by October-tip and 50 beneficiaries from November.” According to Cowin data, on Tuesday, 72,484 beneficiaries vaccinated in all districts in 626 sites.
Vaccination Tuesday was carried out in 384 sites managed by the Government and 242 private vaccination sites.
Deshmukh added consistency in the vaccine supply will play a key role in the upcoming inoculation drive.
Meanwhile, the Bajaj Group provides a dose of Lakh PCMC to drive mega vaccination on Tuesday.
Rajesh Patil, Head of PCMC, received a dose donated through CSR funds.
