Jaipur: Polling for the second phase election to Zila Parishad and Panchayat Aamiti will be held on Sundays in six Rajasthan districts, officials said.
The Commissioner of the State Election of PS Mehra on Saturday said that in the second phase, 1,680 candidates in 28 Panchayat Samitis would try their fortune in Fray’s election.
Ten candidates have been selected without removing.
The poll will begin at 7:30 a.m.
on Sunday, Mehra said more than 62 percent of voters had voted in the first phase.
In the second phase of the election, voting will be made for 536 members of 28 Panchayat Samitis and each Zila Parishad members of Jaipur, Jodhpur, Bharatpur, Sawai Madhopur, Dausa and Sirohi.
He said that in the second phase of around 10,500 electronic voting machines would be used during the poll.
In the second phase, 25,60,153 voters will be able to use their franchise at 3,459 voting stations.
Voting for the third phase of members of Zila Parisiti and Panchayat Samiti will be held on September 1 when the vote count will be conducted on September 4 in all district headquarters.
