The second seed Aryna Sabalenka destroyed Monica Niculescu at Wimbledon

LONDON: The second seed Aryna Sabalenka crashed into a winner of a series for Blitz past Romanian Qualifying Monica Niculescu 6-1 6-4 on Monday and reached the second round of Wimbledon.
With rain constantly preventing playing in the outer field, Belarus kicked the championship under a closed roof in court and burned green grass with aggressive tennis.
The 23-year-old sabalenka, 10 years younger than Niculescu ranked 191, producing winners to die to forehand and backhand to leave Niculescu helpless and rooted in the base line for most matches.
Sabalenka, who hit 47 the eighth winner managed by his opponent, faced the problem with his serve in the second set and was damaged twice before sealing a victory in 75 minutes with the forehand destroying the line.
He will take American qualifications Danielle Lao or Wildcard Katie Boulter in the second round.
