Rajkot: In the tragic assessment of Covid-19 Toll During the second wave, 240 children from Rajkot Regency have been left orphaned pandemic which hit the country in March this year.
From them, 193 were children who unfortunately lost their only parents who survived with the killer virus, while 47 lost their parents during the second wave.
Rajkot District Administration receives as many applications as possible under the ministerial child service scheme.
The Department of Development of Women and District Children has received 47 applications from guardians and community members for this Covid orphanism.
Among children who lose both parents including three children’s applications between 0 and 5 years, 11 of each of them, between six and 10 years and children over 10 years.
Of the 193 applications received by the Department of Children who were single parents who were too surrendered to Covid covering 27 for children under the age of five, 58 for children between six and 10 years for those with over 10 years.
