Chennai: The election of the local body Puducherry, is scheduled in three phases on October 21, 25 and 28, it is likely to be suspended due to anomalies in the booking chair for the scheduled caste (SC), women and caste retreat (BC).
On Monday, additional lawyers General R Shankarararayan told the first bench Judge Sanjib Banerjee and Justice P D Audikesavalu that he had suggested the minister of the United States region to postpone the election to anomalies.

Record submissions, the court directed the State Election Commission to continue to postpone the process of receiving nomination papers for elections until decisions made by the minister’s chairman.
The court then postponed the hearing to October 5 for the authorities to report the decision of the Minister of Chief.
The problem is related to the two requests transferred by Puducherry MLAS J Pregash Kumar and N Periannan accused the irregularities in the seating seat for SCS, women and BCS.
According to the applicant, in accordance with the Puducherry City Law and Regulation, the order of seats for SCS will be made mainly by recording community populations.
On August 23, the State Election Commission informed the election of local local agencies.
According to the notice, Wards 22 (Colas Nagar) and 28 (Ozhandal Keerapalayam) has been provided for SCS / women.
Wards 24 (Viduthalai Nagar), and 33 (Kombakkam) have been provided for SCS, the Petitioner said.
He accused that the environment that was reserved for SCS and women was not in consentance with the population ratio according to the 2011 census 28.41%, Ward No.
6 (Thiruvalluvar Nagar) 27.71%, and Ward No.
13 (Pudupalayam) 25.26%, said the Petitioner.
