The short weekend getaway for M’Lureans

Mangaluru: This long weekend, Mangalurean plans to go to the nearest vacation to relax.
The resort, hotel and homestay are the most sought after, because of travel restrictions on the spot, due to Covid-19 pandemic.
“With restrictions on traveling to other countries, we prefer to go to places that we can visit, such as beach resorts nearby and also to Madikeri, Sakleshpur or Chikkamagaluru,” said Techie Soumya, who worked from home.
Caregivers of the Heritage resort near Kaup said that full booking on weekends.
“This month we have free days from September 21 to September 24, and bookings have been sold out for the rest of the day.
Our customers mainly consist of locals, as well as people from Bengaluru,” he said.
“Restrictions on trips and fears will be Covid-19 is forcing Mangalureans to only take local walks.
Only a few of them travel to distant domestic destinations for long holidays, especially in North India,” said Eulalia d’Souza from Lia Travels and Tours.
“The destination that is nearby is also safe, and people feel comfortable with it, because the situation is valid.

Mourning the market, many travel agents now offer trekking packages to various nearby locations, during the weekend.
This package includes trekking for one or two days.
