LONDON: A new study has revealed that the side effects of the Pfizer-Bionth Jab against Covid-19 at the age of 12-15 years with a high risk of complications from infection tend to be mild to moderate and clean up quickly due to certain coexist living conditions.
The findings of this study were published in the journal ‘Archives Disease in childhood’.
Although small study figures, representative data from adolescents are most likely to benefit from vaccinations, and must offer certainty to parents and doctors, said the author.
Healthy children with Covid-19 infection generally have minor diseases, but some conditions coexist, especially neurological conditions, are associated with severe diseases.
Therefore, these high-risk children are protected to reduce the risk of their infection, and will not be included in the initial vaccine safety study, the author said.
British vaccine adviser group, combined committee on vaccination and immunization (JCVI), suggested that children aged 12 years and over with severe neurological flaws, which tend to get repeated respiratory infections and have complex care needs, must be offered by Covid-19 Jab .
Given the unknown side effects of vaccinations in this complex and vulnerable group, the author asked the parents of these 27 children to record the side effects of the next Covid-19 vaccination for each child.
Children aged between 12 and 15; Three are hospitalized patients; 16 is a boy and most (21) white.
They have various neurological conditions, including muscle and cerebral palsy dystrophy, plus various medical conditions that live side by side, such as epilepsy, congenital heart defects, and lack of immune, they receive various kinds of treatment.
The side effects reported are all mild to moderate, except for one child who experiences severe fatigue and discomfort, combined with an increase in agitation.
One family also reported that the type of seizure turned into a cluster, although this was completed a week later.
Overall, there are 8 ‘events’ in 6 children after the first dose, all of which are completed within 72 hours: light rash; headache; diarrhea; allegedly sore throat; neck pain; difficulty sleeping; and low blood glucose.
After the second dose, 8 additional events occur in 5 children: diarrhea; gag; swelling armpit; and blisters around the mouth.
The use of paracetamol after the first high dose and fever is more common than reported in adult studies (13 percent vs.
4 percent at 16-55-year).
But all side effects were recorded cleaned within a week.
“Small numbers, but this data is very important because they represent children who are most likely to benefit from vaccinations, and parents and doctors may have concerns about an increased risk of unexpected events,” the author said.
“Parents chose to take this vaccination at the time when it was not licensed, with a little available safety data, doing it because they (and their doctors) believed their children at high risk of Covid-19 disease.
Indeed many have protected and Feeling that vaccination will make a significant difference to their lives, “the author concluded.
