The sidewalk in 25 districts will be relaxed: Tope

Mumbai: Covid-19 related restrictions in 25 districts from 36 districts in the state will be relaxed, said Health Minister Rajesh Tope.
Tope spoke after the Covid-19 task force meeting chaired by the Chairman of the Minister of Uddhav Thackeray.
25 of these districts including Mumbai are those where the level of participants and weekly growth rates are lower than the country’s average.
There is no relaxation that will be given to 11 regencies left where the Covid19 indicator is higher than the country’s average, Tope said.
Tope says that the last sequence of the relaxation list will be issued in one or two days.
He said that it was agreed that the timing of the store which was currently allowed to remain open until 4pm will be extended to 8pm, the restaurant can also allow longer dinner.
However, officials said that there was no consensus in opening local trains for the general public because some officials thought that it might not be safe considering countries like Kerala had reported a surge in case.
“The decision to provide relaxation to 25 districts has been taken, the final detail will be in the order that will be issued once cm sign it.
Even though we want to ensure that cases do not rise due to this relaxation, relief must be extended.
To the district that sees fewer cases, “Tope said.
