Srinagar: On the second day of the revocation of the special status of Jammu and Kashmir, the People’s Alliance for the Gupkar Declaration (PGD) Thursday expressed concern over the situation in J & K and decided to continue the struggle for the recovery of “legitimate rights”.
The Alliance held a constituent meeting in his chairman and the National Conference of Farooq Abdullah in the area of Gupkar here.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Chairperson of PAGD and PDP President Mehbooba Muthi, his leader and CPI (M) leader M y Tarigami and Senior Vice President of the National Conference of the National Conference Muzaffar Shah.
Speaking to reporters outside Abdullah’s residence after the meeting, Tarigami said the alliance “reaffirmed our determination to continue our struggle to restore our rights”.
He said the meeting expressed concern over the situation in Jammu and Kashmir.
“Even though the government’s high claims, the situation since August 5, 2019 worsened day after day.
