Letter: After issuing advisers last week, the Municipal Corporation (SMC) letter went on Monday because those who still took the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine was rejected because they used the facility on Monday.
SMC has issued an advisor who views the increase in Covid-19 cases in several parts of the country.
SMC security personnel are seen standing at the entry point of various offices, gardens, swimming pools, city bus stops, aquariums and airports.
Only visitors produce a vaccination certificate that is allowed to enter.
Strict examinations are carried out in health centers too and those who come for treatment are examined and their case papers are stamped accordingly.
“We cannot refuse treatment to patients in health centers, we still check their vaccination certificates.
They were told to take the Covid vaccine at the beginning and the stamps were placed on their paper so that our officials could follow up on them,” said a health official.
At the bus stop, a total of 7,603 people who were not vaccinated were not permitted to take buses and BRTs buses.
A total of 1.05 lakh was checked for a vaccination certificate at various bus stops, officials said.
At the airport of all 652 visitors found to be fully vaccinated.
