The SMC team was attacked in Bhestan

Letter: The Municipal Corporation (SMC) letter from the UDHNA zone office was attacked in Bhestan when they went to repair leaks in the underground pipe.
Residents of the weaker part of the colony (EWS) were annoyed with citizenship officials because their drainage and water connection were cut off.
The water supply line and drainage are cut off when the population refuses to evacuate buildings that are in dilapidated condition.
On Monday, when the team of around 15 SMC staff with the State Reserve police forces (SRP) reached the place where the leak was, the locals pelted the stones in them and solve a glass of earth drivers.
“Our staff must face life-threatening situations and we do not get help from the police on time.
About 150 people attacked us,” said SMC official from the Udhna zone.
“Maybe after disconnecting the pipe connection, capping is not done correctly because of the leak,” the official said.
