Prasagraj: The District Police Special Operations Group (SOG) team was attacked by a family member of illegal weapons smuggling Friday night.
The incident occurred when the team stormed a smuggling house in Rajapur to Nab Him.Police said that the SOG team had arrested a man with illegal weapons recently.
During the interrogation he revealed that he had bought a weapon from one Ajay Pasi, a resident of Rajapur, who was involved in supplying illegal weapons in the district and adjoining areas.
A SOG team led by the Ashish Kumar and Constables Manish and Arvind reached the site in finding O Ajay Pasi.according to SP (City) Dinesh Singh, “Two injured policemen had been given first aid in a private hospital in the city and both are now good okay.
“A woman bit a sub-inspector while another family member involved in throwing stones which resulted in injury to the police forced the SOG team to retreat.
Then, the attack with additional police forces caused six people’s arrest from the place.
Some people, including a woman, consumed alcohol outside the home.
The SOG team asked them about Ajay Pasi which resulted in the people who were present in the group around them and after hurting the violations attacking the police which resulted in Constable Manish sustaining injury to his head.
Leading by SP (city) raided the place and managed to accommodate Ajay Pasi and the other five were involved in the incident.
