Bokaro: A 50-year-old man was held in giriith because he attacked his 80-year-old mother with suspected practicing magic.
He tried to spit his eyes and slit his throat with a knife, said the police.
The incident occurred in Jamkhokro Village under the area of Deori police station in the Giridih district on Saturday.
After the man attacked his mother, the local villagers arrested the defendant, Mahender Yadav, and trimmed him poorly after tying him to the tree.
He was then handed over to the police.
Saro Devi is currently being treated in a conscious hospital under care for a sad injury.
Officers responsible for Deori police station, Santosh Kumar Mandal, said that Yadav had been detained.
Yadav told the police that his mother practiced magic to endanger others.
The villagers said that before attacking the woman, the man also harmed a number of things at the Bhagwati Temple in the village.
“The defendant is a laborer by the profession and married,” said a villager.
