Ford still faces charges for “attempts to kill Strand,” said the authorities.
Delaware County Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 27 President Joseph Fitzgerald previously issued a statement that supports officers.
“This is a sad day for our officers, who face criminal charges for trying to do their work and maintain public security,” Fitzgerald wrote.
“FOP continues to support this good officer and will provide a strong defense against this accusation.”
