Nagpur: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) protested against the state government of Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) in Variety Square on Friday because it did not reduce the VAT imposed on gasoline and diesel prices.
MLC President and BJP Pravin Datke said the central government led by BJP has reduced Rs 5.8 and Rs 12 on gasoline and diesel, but the MVA government is not worried about citizens.
Pravin said, “Why is what is called ‘Janata King’ from Maharashtra Sharad Pawar now, and does not lead to ask the Head of Minister of Uddhav Thackeray and its government to reduce VAT on gasoline and diesel?” BJP leader Sanjay Bhende said the central government in one punch reduced gasoline and diesel levels and since then, Shiv Sena, the Nationalist and Congress Congress Party – three main components of the MVA government in Maharashtra – had a night without sleep as they did a high fuel center but Now it’s their turn to show that they really take care of residents by reducing VAT on these items in Maharashtra.
He added, “Nawab Malik has time to come in front of the media every day but does not have time to talk about the price of fuel.
He is also not worried about the State Strike of State Transportation, which influences residents.” Bjp Hingna Mla Sameer Meghe Saying apart from gasoline and high diesel prices, residents’ electric pathways are also cut by MSEDCL staff.
“This has created a big anger among residents against the MVA government,” added Meghe.
Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha, led by Shivani Dani, Yash Satpute and others, burned the MVA government effigion with Poster Uddhav Thackeray, Ajit Pawar and Reply Thorat, in Variety Square during protests.
BJP leader like Secretary General of the Chandrashekhar Party Bawankule, MLC Krishna Khopde and Vikas Kumbhare, MLC Girish Vyas, BJP Nagpur Rural Arvind Gajbhiye, Sanjay Bangale and Bharatiya Janata Mahila Aghadi also part of the protest.
