Nandurrar, Akola, Amaravati, Yavatmal, Wardha, Banhandara, and Gondia, and Jalgaon, Dhule, and the city of Amravati (urban areas) did not report fresh Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, he said.
The official said the Ahmednagar district reported 805 new infections, followed by Pune in 416, while Mumbai registered five highest deaths in the state in the last 24 hours.
Among the eight regions of Maharashtra, Pune reported 3,267 new cases of Covid-19, followed by the Nashik area in 953.
Among other regions, the Mumbai region reported 728 new cases, Kolhapur 517, Latur 98, Nagpur 14 and Akola 13 region, he said.
According to officials, between 37 deaths from eight regions, 12 highs were reported from the Pune region, followed by 10 of the Nashik region.
