Bhubaneswar: The selection of Three Three Panchayat in the State will be held in five phases starting February 16 amid compliance with strict Covid guidelines, Aditya Prasad Padhi’s Commissioner of Aditya Prasad was announced on Tuesday.
The election will be held with one day gap between each phase on February 16, 18, 20, 22 and 24.
For the first time, there will be a central calculation at the block base level for three days starting February 26.
As many as 2.79 rural crores voters will use their franchise in the three-level Panchayat polls to choose 91,913 members of the environment, 6,794 Sarpanches, 6,793 Panchayat Samiti members and 853 members of Zilla Parishad.

Notifications for elections will be released on January 13 while the nominated archiving process will begin on January 17 and continue until January 21.
