Ranchi: CPI (M) Politburo member Brinda Karat on Saturday said that while the central government tried to close the Heavy Engineering Corporation (HEC), the state government was only interested in acquiring corporate land.
Overcoming the media of people in his party’s office, Karat said that it was unfortunate that workers and HEC officers had not been paid salaries over the past few months.
He said that the state government should raise his voice on the situation but it seems more interested in acquiring the land for the City City Ranchi project.
