Ranchi: Jharkhand on Monday recorded 4,482 fresh Covid 19 cases and two deaths reported from Bokaro and coderma.
The cabinet, Mithilesh Thakur also among those tested positive during the day.
He has been tested twice positive.
In a tweet, Thakur said he had mild symptoms and urged them to come into contact with him to be tested and isolated themselves.
Of the total new cases, 1,537 reported from Ranchi only.
The state now has 2,6019 active cases with cities that contribute 9,951 infections.
Meanwhile, Ranchi DC Chavi Ranjan led the Covid District Task Unit meeting and issued direction to prepare a hospital for the possibility of acceptance.
Request coordination among different departments, Ranjan requested health and administrative officials to ensure the distribution of home insulation kits on time.
DC also requested a civil surgeon to keep the availability of bed and share information with the incident commander to facilitate acceptance if there was a need.
