Vadodara: A woman who runs a salon of milk in the Danteshwar area in the city sent the police about the pursuit of wild goose by cooking a booty story on Wednesday.
Defendant Mayuri Tailor told the police that two unidentified men broke into the shop at around 6:30 a.m.
and looted cash in a knife.
However, his claim was broken and the woman admitted that he had shocked the story of a crime.
According to the police, the tailor runs a milk salon on the ground floor of Darshanam complex.
Her husband contacted the police on Wednesday morning after he claimed that two men entered his shop.
They first tried to buy milk but one of them flashed the knife and threatened it.
Tailor claims that the duo fled with Rs 1.5 lakh cash.
KOPS has been wary of chain snatchers that have been active for the past few days, immediately swung in action.
“Tailors have claimed that two men wearing black face masks walked to his shop.
We checked CCTV recordings installed on several distances from the store but did not see the man.
We became suspicious and asked him further,” said R a Patel, Police Inspector Makarpura .Tailor, 41, then admit that he lied.
“He borrowed Rs 1.4 lakh from his friend to send his son to study further to Singapore.
His friend demanded money back and so he took Rs 1.37 lakh from a collection of living rooms and paid off debts on Tuesday.
However, her husband was not aware of his loan , “added Patel.
Thinking about the reason about Rs 1.37 lakh missing from the income of the living room, the tailor decided to concoct the incidence of booty.
“We have filed a complaint that is not recognized by him because he misleads the police,” Patel said.
