The strong underwater earthquake shook Indonesia; No Tsunami Warning

Palu: a strong and shallow underwater earthquake shook the middle Indonesia on Monday but there was no serious damage that was immediately reported and there was no tsunami warning issued.
The US geological survey said the magnitude-6.2 earthquake was centered at a depth of 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) around 98 kilometers (60 miles) west-northwest luwuk, a city in Central Sulawesi province.
Meteorology and Indonesian geophysics agents, Taufan Maulana said the earthquake was felt in many parts of the province but there was no tsunami danger.
However, many people in the capital of Palu Province ran to a higher ground, haunted by memory of the 7.5-year-old magnitude earthquake in the city three years ago which triggered a tsunami and a phenomenon called disbursement, where the wet soil collapsed because it trembled.
More than 4,000 people die.
“ I feel trembling it’s strong …
People run from their home, “said Muhammad Rusli, a resident of Ampana.
He said most people ran to a higher ground and there was a power outage after the earthquake.
Indonesia, the archipelago that is widely from 271 million people, is often shocked by the earthquake and volcanic eruptions because of its location on ‘fire rings,’ ‘volcanic arc and fault lines in the Pacific basin.
In January, the 6.2 magnitude earthquake killed at least 105 people, injured nearly 6,500, and flee more than 92,000 in West Sulawesi Province.
