The success of Akash Kumar will motivate younger boxers to Excel: Modi

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday congratulated Akash Kumar because he became the seventh Indian male boxer to win a medal at the Championship Boxing World.
Akash Kumar’s sensational run at the World Boxing Championship AIBA 2021 ended with a bronze medal after he suffered a heartbreaking loss in the semifinals in Belgrade on Thursday.
Akash suffered a 5-0 loss against Kazakhstan Makhmud Sabyrkhan in the 54kg category.
PM Modi said Akash’s success would motivate younger boxers to excel in sports.
“Akash is well done! Congratulations on the prestigious medal in the world boxing championship.
