Mumbai: Country cabinet is likely to review the issue of reopening schools in the next meeting on Thursday.
The government is under pressure from parts of parents and school associations that have submitted a petition to reopen the school.
In some parts of the state, the school was opened on Tuesday, but after meeting with leaders, the English guardian association of Maharashtra (Mesta) decided to put it until the cabinet made a decision.
The Mumbai Parents Association together with Mesta has written an open letter to Uddhav Thackeray’s main minister and Commissioner BMC is Chahal who is looking for the reopening of the school from January 24.
Given the third wave, the school has been closed in the country until February 15.
The association demanded that when the entire city opened, why the government closed the school.
Health Minister Rajesh Tope who met with delegates from Mesta in Aurangabad urged them not to take any steps that would violate the covid sidewalk.
“Even though it is very clear the level of infection among low children and there is rarely death, the only concern is that children can act as operators and infect senior citizens at home.
However, all the perspective of parents, school associations, assignment units And other experts – will be considered in this week’s cabinet and the reviews can be taken, “Tope said.
“We will wait for the cabinet decision.
If we still don’t get a favorable reply, we will do a peaceful parade outside Mantalaya by following restrictions on Section 144,” said Vinod Kulkarni, Secretary General, Mesta.
