The Supreme Court gave three weeks to Spicejet to resolve financial problems with the Swiss company

NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court on Friday granted three weeks to SpiceJet to resolve a financial dispute with the Swiss firm Credit Suisse AG, and live operation of the Madras High Court ruling allowing a winding-up petition and directed the official liquidator to take over the airline’s assets.
A bench headed by Chief Justice V N Ramana recorded shipments of senior advocate Harish Salve that SpiceJet will try to resolve the issue with the Swiss company.
“Senior counsel Harish Salve sought three weeks to try to resolve this issue and Mr K V Firmansyah (appearing for the Swiss company) also agreed to the postponement.
Meanwhile, the high court order staying for three weeks, “the bench, also comprising of Judge A S Bopanna and Hima Kohli, ordered.
SpiceJet had rushed to court over against the January 11 order of the division bench of the high court to uphold a recent ruling of a single judge bench ordered the winding and directing the official liquidator attached to the high court to take over the assets.
Credit Suisse AG has moved a single bench high court judge stated that SpiceJet failed to honor its commitment to pay the bill for more than USD 24 million (one million each to Rs 10 lakh) was raised by the direction of maintenance, repair and overhaul aircraft engines and components.
