New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Wednesday agreed to consider a list of pills that challenge the constitutional validity of the provision of representation of the Law people who have led to the introduction of electronic voting machines (EVMS), instead of ballots, for state polls.
A bench led by the Chairman of the Judge and Ramana heard the submission of lawyers M L Sharma, who submitted a request in his personal capacity, and said that he would consider the list of cases.
Sharma said the part 61a from the representation of people’s actions, which allowed the use of EVMS, was not approved by the parliament and therefore could not be worn.
