New Delhi: The Supreme Court has notified the SOP to start physical hearing cases along with virtual hearing options from September 1 on non-other days can be heard in physical mode (with hybrid options).
The official added that the decision could be taken by the bench concerned, given the number of parties in a limited capacity of the courtroom.
“Furthermore, other problems can be heard in physical mode in such days, if the bench is not directing.
All other things, including those listed in other days, will continue to be heard through video / teleconferencing mode” , said SOP for physical hearing with hybrid options.
SOP has been issued by the Top Secretary General.
Advocate-on-Record (AOR) is required to register themselves on the upper court portal and submit their preferences to appear before the court concerned either through physical mode or through video / teleconference mode within 24 hours / 1.00pm the following day after the publication of the hearing list Final / regular material weekly.
SOP said: “In a matter listed for physical hearing (with hybrid options), one AOR (or nominance), one debate advisor and one junior advice per party will be allowed to enter; one registered officer per party, as can be selected.
AOR, will be allowed to enter a paper / journal paper, etc.
from advisors to the courtroom.
“SOP further added that after hearing through physical mode was chosen by AOR or applicant directly, hearing through video / tele-conferencing mode to the party concerned will not be facilitated.
