Thiruvananthapuram: Files related to the death of a woman aged 48 years and five years ago in Kovalam reviewed by the police on Thursday after they suspect the involvement of the duo of the son of Rafeeqa and Shafeeq, who is currently accused of two other murders.
However, the preliminary investigation carried out has not found evidence to confirm their involvement in death.
The case in question was a suspicious death of a 48-year-old woman who lived in Kalluvettankuzhy under the limit of the Kovalam police station five years ago.
He was found unconsciously outside his house and died despite being taken to the hospital.
Rafeeqa and Shafeeq used to live in a rented house near the deceased’s residence.
This is the reason why the police decided to return the file.
Kovalam police officers on Thursday examined post mortem reports from the deceased.
The cause of death is recorded as bleeding in the lungs.
However, it is not mentioned the possibility of external factors that can cause this injury.
Therefore the police have not confirmed the involvement of Rafeeqa and Shafeeq in death.
