Rajkot: Security agent at Kutch recovered about one kilo DNT of the objects that look suspicious they found near the Jakhau Island on Tuesday.
The bomb disposal forces opened objects through the controlled explosion they were looking for near the suspicious island containing explosives.
Kutch Supervisors Police (West) Saurabh Singh said, “It was a low grade explosion, which we believed to come here accidentally and could be separated during the Navy exercise from Pakistan.” Singh further stated that there was no detonator and therefore could not explode himself.
“There is no logic to send such an explosive near Jakhau Island.
If there is a receding water, the object will return to the sea.
DNT is also used for blasting in the industry,” he added.
Previously, fishermen found a suspected box and an object and informed sea police.
The intelligence service team and the border security force also joined the investigation.
Blank boxes are used to keep ammunition, police said.
