Jaipur: The anti-corruption bureau Rajasthan on Tuesday arrested Gurjar Rajaram, the husband of the mayor was suspended from Jaipur Greater Municipal Corporation, Somya Gurjar, and a representative from the BVG company in connection with the charges of kickback Rs 20 Crore.
This case is based on the video clip where both of them are captured can be involved in conversations related to the “commission” of Rs 20 Crore from the company, which is involved in garbage collection from the door to the door, to get the payment is released from the city’s body.
After registering fir, the investigating officer arrested Rajaram Gurjar and Oomprakash Sapre, representative of BVG Company, on Tuesday, Director General (DG) from the Anti-Corruption Bureau, said B Soni.
Payments to the company are the main reasons behind the samples between Somya Gurjar and City corporate commissioners, Yagyamitra Singh Deo.
Somya Gurjar, who came from BJP, and three council members were suspended on June 6 on charges of Manhandling the commissioner in his room.
The Rajasthan High Court on Monday rejected Gurjar’s request challenging his suspension.
The video appeared on June 10 and ACB sent it to the FSL examination after registering the initial question (PE).
RSS Leader Nimbam is also seen in the video.
After confirmation from two non-video laboratories, ACB registered a case against Rajaram and the other three including RSS leaders under the provisions of Prevention of Corruption and 120 (B) (Criminal Conspiracy) of IPC.
In FIR registered by ACB, Nimbampam has also been accused.
