Patna / Bagaha: Even when the other parts and river basins have been shaken from the floods, the threat of severe floods suddenly shifted on Friday to North Bihar Regency lying in Baskan Mangananda, Kamla and Bagmati, Department of Water Resources (WRD) Source said.
The shift has taken place because the catchment area in three rivers in Nepal is expected to be more populous with moderate rainfall for severe 36 hours ahead, along with abnormal heavy rainfall in several places.
“The Mahanda River, Kamla, and Bagmati are in the Spate.
Their basin faces a sudden flood threat since their water catchment area in Nepal has received moderate to heavy rainfall on Friday and the trend is expected to continue until Saturday,” said an official Wrd.
He added a water catchment area based in Nepalese in randak in the west received 252mm rainfall on Thursday, while the water catchment area in Mahanda in Nepal Timur recorded 125mm rainfall on the same day in the Chandragarhi airport area near Jhapa.
“Most areas have received medium rainfall to heavily,” he added.
The flood bulletin released by WRD has predicted moderate rainfall to severe in a slightly more than 14 districts in Bihar for Saturday.
“So far, the rainfall received by the East Regency in the northern part of the country is less than their normal share in June.

While North Bihar Regency has been shaken by flood threats, The estimated rainfall in South Bihar for Saturday is zero, “added WRD officials.
Meanwhile, the rivers are large, water discharge through falling, but increases gradually on the Kosi River.
