KABUL: The Taliban has appointed 17 governors, 15 deputy governors, 10 police chiefs, and one head of security in various Afghan Provinces, local media reported on Monday.
“The new promise has been made based on the decree of Mullah Indeed, Akhundzada, Taliban leader,” Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid was quoted as saying by Tolo News.
New governor, provincial deputy governor or provincial police chief has been appointed in Badakhshan Province, Baghlan, Bamyan, Balkh, Kunduz, Kunar, Logar, Laghman, Daikundi, Farah, Faryab, Ghazni, Jawzjan, Kabul, Maidan Wardak, Sare Pul, Nimroz, Pakts, Paktika, Uruzgan, and Zabol.
Previously, Taliban’s leadership had warned of independent dangers and infiltrators in the movement in a written public statement, the Russian news agency Sputnik reported.
The clothes called the commander to “cleanse the ranks.” The Taliban seized power in mid-August, declared a new Islamic Emirate in Afghanistan.
