KABUL: The Top Military Commander of the Taliban-led government has warned Pakistan against the artillery shooting to Afghanistan, adding that Kabul is ready to respond if Islamabad does not stop, the media reported.
Abu Dojana, Commander 201 Khalid bin Walid Corps, said that even though the Taliban was looking for good relations with neighboring countries, his troops also had military equipment to defend Afghanistan if there was provocation, report tolo news.
“This is a valuable land.
We have paid a great sacrifice for it.
We want to be a good neighbor but if they continue to attack our land, we will definitely give them a response,” he said.
The commander’s statement came when the residents of Kunar claimed that Pakistan had targeted several provincial parts for the past two weeks.
At least one civilian was also injured in a mortar shooting by the Pakistani military in the Chogam area in the Shiltan district in Kunar, said the Tolo News report.
The Chogam area runs next to the Durand line that forms the Afghanistan-Pakistani border.
“I was injured by mortar, a fragment hit my head.
I was taken to Asadabad at night.
I was in a hospital for two days,” Tolo News quoted Anwar Shah, who said.
Some residents also claim to see Pakistani drones operating in the province.
“We were attacked by Pakistan.
Everyone in trouble, including children and women,” said Salman, a resident of the Shiltan district.
