Islamabad: Taliban on Monday confirmed that the head of the strong Pakistani intelligence of Lt Gen Faiz Hameed had met with the leader de-facto Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, in the midst of efforts by rebel groups to complete the government in Afghanistan.

The Taliban has convinced Islamabad that the Afghanistan region will not be used against Pakistan, he said.
Previously, Pakistani media reported that the delegation of senior officials led by General Hameed was in Kabul at the Taliban invitation, but rebel groups said that Islamabad had proposed his visit to Kabul.
On Sunday, the Taliban said that the top Pakistani Spy was in Afghanistan to improve bilateral relations between Kabul and Islamabad.
Ahmadullah Wasiq, deputy head of the Taliban Cultural Commission, said that the Taliban leaders spoke with General Hame about bilateral relations and Afghan passenger problems in Torkham and Spin Baskak through Afghanistan and Pakistan.
