Karachi: The suicide bomber of Tehreek-e-Taliban which Pakistan banned himself in the turbulent Balochistan province in the country on Sunday, killing at least three security personnel and injuring officials.
This attack targets the examination of the Corps (FC) border on Jalan Mastung in Quetta, the provincial capital, Deputy Inspector General of Police Quetta Azram Azhar.
The three personnel who were killed in the explosion and the wounded majority of FC, who were at the forefront of efforts to overcome militancy in the province, Akram told reporters.
Eighteen of the injured was a second security official of two was an observer, said the officer, added that the number of victims could rise.
According to Balochistan counter-terrorism department, the explosion was the “suicide attack” and was held near Chartpost Sona Khan.
Teheepaek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) which was prohibited from claiming the responsibility for the attack, sending a gloomy signal that changes in government in Kabul may not end Pakistani’s misery when the country looked towards the Taliban to control the TTP rebels who hid in Afghanistan.
According to security forces, vehicles targeted in the attack provide security for vegetable sellers belonging to the Provincial Hazara community.
Condemned the attack, Prime Minister Imran Khan brought to Twitter to offer condolences to families killed.
“Condemn the TTP Buicide attack on CheckPost FC, Mastung Road, Quetta.
My condolences went to the martyr & prayer family for injured recovery.
Salut our security forces & their sacrifice to make us safe by thwarting a foreign-supported terrorist design,” he said Tweet.
Minister of Home Balochistan Mir Ziaullah Langove also condemned the attack and looked for reports.
“Security forces have provided countless sacrifices in the war against terrorism.
The entire nation is indebted to the martyrs.
We fight against terrorists with our full strength and will continue to do so.
The attack of this violence will not reduce moral strength,” he said, Adding that war will continue until total peace is achieved.
Human Rights Minister Shireen Mazari said: “Smart TTP attack today at Chartpost FC in Quetta today.
Condolences and prayer go to the martyr family …”.
Pakistan’s opposition President of the Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Shehbaz Sharif also condemned the attack and said that legal setbacks and order were causes of concern.
Balochistan has faced low-level violence by TTP rebels and Nationalist Baloch.
The suicide attack lasted less than two weeks after three police officers publies were killed and as much as injured when their vehicle crashed into land mines in the Ziaat District of the Province.
