The Tamil Nadu government extends the Kuncian until 31 October

Chennai: The Tamil Nadu government on Tuesday extended the locking of Covid-19 to 31 October.
The state government held a meeting led by the Chief of the Constitutional Court of the Constitutional Court Stalin to take a stock of the Covid-19 situation in Tamil Nadu and to decide the steps to control pandemics on Tuesday.
“Considering the upcoming festival season and the possibility of increasing Covid-19 infection with public meetings, Covid-19 locking will be in place until October 31,” said Minister M St Stalin in a statement.
He further said the ban on social, political and cultural events and festival ceremonies and the consequence would continue.
All places of worship will remain closed from Friday to Sunday.
However, the state government allows weekly public complaints meetings and monthly complaints meetings for farmers in the Collectorate District by following the Covid-19 protocol.
The government also reaffirms standard operating procedures for stores during the festival season.
The minister’s chairman asked the public to remain vigilant and avoid going to crowded places.
He sought cooperation from the public to avoid the third wave of Covid-19 and suggested a commercial company to take part in the protocol.
