Thiruvananthapuram: Teachers from Cotton Hill, the Government of LP School has set exemplary models with their good attitude adopt a family of four girls who lost their father because of Covid-19.
The LP school has decided to adopt four students, study in class III, VIII, and X, along with their sick mothers.
In connection with the initiative, ‘Koodeondu Cotton Hill’, 27 permanent teachers with their headmaster, K Buhari together worked to bring a new life to the family who lost the breadwinner place.
A few months ago, Aneesha, a class III student, and his brothers had lost their father, a driver of the Autorickshaw, to Covid-19.
Their mother has a patient.
Considering their circumstances, school teachers decided to expand their family help by giving them food and other essence.
After visiting the family, the Principal of the Buhari was moved by the helplessness and struggle for their children and their mothers.
Then, when he discussed this issue with other teachers and PTA, they easily accept to adopt a family.
“They really live in extreme poverty after the death of their father.
Because all children study at government schools, they don’t need to spend a lot on their education.
But, however, they need to survive.
Their mothers don’t have health to work.

At present, schools plan to provide food and other essence worth Rs 5,000 every month.
According to school authorities, families can buy important commodities, including vegetables and conditions, from their preference stores and schools will pay the amount for the same thing.
The school will also provide study material for students.
“It doesn’t work at all to us to take care of families.
We only need to contribute a small share of our salary for that purpose,” said Buhari.
Also, school teachers plan to build a house for this homeless family.
After the death of their father, the family of Aneesha moved to my uncle’s house in Kattaada.
Dileep, a daily wage worker, was very good to accommodate his sister and four children in his little house rented where, Dileep, along with his wife and two children lived.
Now, the school hopes that a good soul will give a small portion of the land to build a house for the family.
“They don’t have property, but if someone can donate a plot of land, we can manage funds and within six months we can complete the construction of houses,” said Buhari.
The decision to adopt a family will be announced on Friday, in an event, organized as part of ‘Koodeondu Cotton Hill’.
In addition to adopting a family, schools also ensure to provide smartphones to 60 students in the event.
