Jaisalmer: Balotara Police in the Barmer District broke a group of members of 20 members who planned to re-record the reet question paper and made Dummy candidates appear in the exam.
Among those who were arrested were two government school teachers.
Six government school teachers and police police, who are also part of the gang, managed to escape.
The gang used to make Dummy candidates sit in a competitive exam held in the state and also leaked paper questions for a decent price.
RS 9.50 lakh cash was found from two government teachers arrested.
Barmer SP Anand Sharma said on September 24, Balotara Sho Babalal Raigar received information that two gang members between countries planned to provide REET paper for RS 12 lakh before the exam and collect Rs 15 Lakh for Dummy candidates appeared in the exam.
He said a team was formed under the sho and raided a house in Mega Highway and arrested two perpetrators, Ramesh Kumar (36) residents of Balotara and a government teacher, and Suresh Kumar (35), a resident of Jalore.
SP said documents and application candidates from many districts and other false documents also recovered from the perpetrators.
The police claimed Ramesh Kumar received a five-hour question paper before the exam and revealed that the owner of the Mohan Lal e-partner, residents of Dedwa in Sanchore, were used to help in editing photo applications.
