Ludhiana: The teacher’s association, including elementary school teacher unions, Master and Front Bed’s head teachers, held a meeting at the Senior Government High School, Nandpur, Ludhiana Blok I, on Monday against the incident at Sahnewal School where a school teacher fell unconsciously after Allegedly reprimanded by the Deputy of Regional Education Officers.
The teacher will protest outside the deputy commissioner’s office on September 9 if Deputy Deo is not removed from the post, they said.
The Supandeep Kaur teacher, who was allegedly reprimanded, was prioritized in the government elementary school in Sahnewal and is currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital.
Dharamjit Singh from the Master of Cadre Union said, “The teacher was declared very bad so he had a surprise.
We want representatives of Deo to resign and if there are no actions taken, we will make it a state issue and approach political parties for intervention.
Secretary, education, Krishhan Kumar also visited Ludhiana on Saturday, but turned the ears for this terrible incident.
