Coimbatore: A government school teacher is placed under a suspension on Friday for allegedly sending obscene messages and making improper progress towards female students.
The incident was revealed when several female middle school female students in Vellalore, seeking action against computers, Science teacher C Vijay Anand.A last week, students of class XI and XII told the principal that the teacher tried to touch female students in the classroom.
He also insisted on meeting them when applying for assignments.
Because there was no action taken against the teacher even after a week, the students blocked the way to find the elimination of the teacher.
After receiving a written complaint from the students on Friday, the Head of Education (CEO) N Geetha ordered Vijay’s suspension soon.
“The Child Welfare Committee was told about the complaint of students last week and the investigation was being carried out.
Also, a complaint was submitted to the police Podanur,” Geetha told Toi.
The teacher has harassed several students during online classes in the locking period, a student said.
“He asked them to wear a shirt and were involved in personal talks.”
