Ranchi: School Education and Literacy Minister Jagarnath Mahto on Saturday announced that the state government would fulfill some major demands from teacher teachers protest and provide honorariums and facilities to them on Bihar government lines.
Mahto announced the decision during a meeting with the Ministry of Education and Representatives of the teachers of the housing office.
Speaking to the media after the meeting, the minister said, “We will move forward on the rules of the Government of Bihar while framing the service conditions of our teachers.
Legal officials and the Ministry of Education will discuss this issue again Wednesday next week.
Other meetings will be held with officials and representatives of the teachers of the August 18 to compile a temporary decision outline.
“He said the process of framing the rules would continue while the deliberation was on.
Sanjay Dubey, a teacher representative of the teachers who attended the meeting, said they would get around Rs 22,000 if the government resolved his decision.
He showed that in Bihar, trained teachers must print qualifications in examination of assessment to get salaries and fund facilities provided.
Educational Secretary of Education Rajesh Sharma and Director of Jharkhand Educational Project Board, Shailesh Chaurasia, also present during the meeting.
There are around 65,000 paragraph teachers in the state and many of them serve for the past 20 years.
They have agitated for regularization of services and respectable payments over the past few years.
