Jaipur: Chief of Minister Rajasthan Ashok Gehlot on Tuesday faced a government teacher audience which firmly admitted that they had to pay money to transfer them between schools.
At the state level function to respect the teacher, Gehlot asks if they give money to transfer, where the teacher answers in “yes”.
“We heard that several times you gave money to be transferred.
I don’t know if this is true.
You know, is this true,” asked Gehlot.
He said it was “very sad” that the teacher completed the transfer by paying money.
“If there is a policy about the transfer, everyone will know when they have to be transferred.
There will be no circulation of money and the need for MLA to give a recommendation,” Gehlot said emphasizing the need for such a policy.
Minister of State Education Singh Dotasra said that under CM leadership, this practice will be completely eliminated through the transfer policy.
Reacting to the interaction, BJP leader and deputy opposition in the Assembly, Rajendra Rathore, said the teachers had shown “corrupt faces of the government for everyone”.
“The teacher is a mirror of society, who can never lie,” he said in a tweet.
