Coimbatore: Many corporate school teachers have increased on that occasion during this pandemic period, helping their students overcome their studies.
Many students, said teachers, cannot attend online classes because their parents are used to bring the only smartphone available in their homes.
“So, we make a video and send it on WhatsApp for them watching every time a cellphone is available at home,” said one of the teachers.
Some teachers also do online classes at night, most between 6pm and 8 nights, when parents of most students will return home from work.
Christopher George, a teacher with UPPilipalayam Corporation School, said when he took a class online after 6pm, only 25 of the 37 students who could attend classes, because the parents of the remaining six reached late at night.
“I will make a separate video for them and they will be asked to visit the school to watch the same thing.
They will be given a worksheet to do homework, they will send the following day.
