The teacher’s body is donated to research

Vadodara: An octogenarian retired teacher from Chhota Udepur remains committed to his profession even after his death.
The 84-year-old Nanubhai Bariya family donated his body to the Department of Anatomy College Medical Baroda on Tuesday as he wished.
Bariya, a resident of Maniyarfaliya, the city of Chhota Udepur, died at home on Tuesday morning because of natural causes.
His family members said that Bariya had read about the body’s contribution in 2015 and expressed hope that his body must also be donated after death.
“He always lives a simple life as a teacher, so he wants his body to also be used for teaching purposes for medical students after he dies,” said a family member.
Bariya has registered for donations at medical colleges in 2019 and therefore the body was donated on Tuesday.
The source said that this was the first example of the body’s donation in the udepur chhota.
