Rajkot: Senior Police Officer Haresh Dudhat who investigated corruption allegations of the Police Commissioner Rajkot Manoj Agarwal and other police from the Branch of Crime Rajkot, on Thursday recorded a number of people here.
Dudhat is a member of the Probe Committee formed by the home department and led by Senior IPS officers Vikas Sahay.
Even as a Dudhat noted the statement of the people in Rajkot, the source said that CP CP Agarwal was called to Gandhinagar to record his statement in connection with the allegations that he demanded 15% of the restored money commission from fraudsters.
The Probe Committee was formed after Rajkot BJP South BJP MLA Patel wrote to the Daring Minister Junior Harsh Sanghvi last week.
However, when contacted by Dudhat refused to talk to the media.
But the sources said that Dudhat called the Jagjivan Sakhiya sailor, his nephew and Dr.
Tejas Karamta to the Cid crime office in the city.
Karmata is the person who took Jagjivan Sakhiya to meet Agarwal eight months ago.
Sakhiya after meeting with the Probe team told the media that his statement given in Gandhinagar on Tuesday was verified by Dudhat, who had requested details that support the statement.
The probe team also recorded Karamta.dudhat’s statement and his team also went to the police station at the police officer where Sakhiya allegedly submitted Rs 50 Lakh to Psi Sakhra.
They also visited Dharmesh Barbhaya’s houses accused.
According to sources, the statement of Crime Branch PI V K GADHVI was recorded in Gandhinagar on Wednesday.
